I’ve contributed to the creation and rigging of a wide range of props for both cinematic and gameplay use, ensuring they are animation-ready and optimized for production workflows.
My work includes functional rig setups, advanced skinning, and the development of custom tools and scripts in Maya to improve team efficiency. I also work in the material integration and variant setup of props in Unreal Engine, while documenting processes to ensure a streamlined and consistent pipeline. As part of my role, I’ve been actively involved in the creation of a wide range of props, both for gameplay and cinematics. My work covers the entire rigging process, ensuring each asset is animation-ready, properly integrated into the pipeline, and technically optimized.
This includes:
Rigging and Skinning: I rig props with functionality in mind, adapting each setup to the specific needs of the animation or gameplay requirements. I apply advanced skinning techniques when necessary to ensure natural deformation and smooth interaction with characters or environments.
Tool and Script Development: I’ve created custom tools and small scripts in Maya to streamline the prop rigging workflow, automate repetitive tasks, and improve team efficiency. These tools help maintain consistency and reduce production time.
Material and Variant Setup: I contribute to the integration of props in Unreal Engine, configuring materials and ensuring they’re fully compatible with the project’s technical requirements. I also help with variant setups, allowing props to adapt seamlessly to multiple use cases or character variations.
Technical Documentation: I document workflows and processes to support the team, providing clear guidance for future implementation and ensuring project-wide consistency.
My experience spans Unreal Engine 4, Unreal Engine 5, and Unity, adapting pipelines and techniques to the tools used in each project.
